Best Guitar Stands 2020

As a newbie to the guitar world, I bought 000-15 from my long time savings. When I bought that I called my best friend over my place to show him the beautiful contrivance I recently owned. While sitting on the concrete bench in my yard, my guitar slipped and its body hit the corner of the table producing a grim sound that seemed to say: you just got a big evil hole in a beautiful chattel that you will ever own. It has the worst moment of my life that I witnessed. At that time I got it fixed. But I think that incident was not enough for me to understand and think about my gadget’s safety. The other day it was leaning on my study table. I walked hurriedly past it and it fell onto the tiled floor. This time it broke completely. The neck snapped and the headstock broke.

Neboic Guitar Wall Mount

Hercules’ GSP39WB and this one from Neboic are of a kindred type. Both are the wall mount hangers with the auto-lock system. But just like the five fingers are not equal, these two are also not similar. Neboic wall hanger is made up of a wooden base with a guitar body shape. The hanger itself is plastic with a quality wood-grain finish. It is a stout piece of wood, sturdy enough to hold a heavy guitar. This wall hanger really is a solid and great quality product with easy installation. The finish of my guitar is safe as only the grippy rubber touches the guitar. The piece with an auto-locking mechanism looks more like an ornament than hardware.

Reasons to buy a Guitar Stand:

Before clicking on this review, a question might have crossed your mind, “Do I really need a guitar stand?”. Well! Many people think that a guitar stand is just a luxury item to spend bucks on. But that’s not the thing. A guitar stand is an essential unit to buy if you own a guitar. You can get an outlook from my experience that why it is a bad idea to keep your guitar lying on the surfaces or leaning it against the wall instead of putting it on a guitar stand. If you place it in a guitar bag then that is not a bad thing but getting it out and putting it back in, is hectic and not completely safe. If there is something out in the market, named Guitar Stand, and that of great demand, then surely there would be a purpose for its invention. The reasons I think are enough to get hands-on a guitar stand are:

Protection

If you think that your guitar is safe in its bag then sorry to say but you are wrong. The bags are not good enough to keep your guitar 100% safe. The bags surely are handy and inexpensive but they could not prevent the damage that can be caused by falling or knocking off. Moreover, leaning your guitar continuously against the wall can result in deformation of the neck. Get a guitar stand and stick your instrument in it. It will not only give your instrument a safe and stable place to rest on but the support will also intercept the neck from deformation.

Convenience

As a performing artist, you might need to grab your gadget now and then. Keeping it in a gig bag is an option but you might have to tune it before playing and that would surely take some time. But if you have it on a sturdy guitar stand, then you’ll save much of your time from the fuss of getting it out and tuning it. Having a guitar stand is the best option, this will save your time as your instrument is just ready to pick up and use.

Display

Everyone knows that guitar is the coolest musical instrument that one can have. Then why not display that if you have one? But it would be madness to lean it in the corner where anyone can budge it or hang it with the guitar strap over a nail on the wall. Think safe and get a guitar stang if you want it on the ground or a wall mount if you want to display it on the wall. The stand or wall mount will prove to be protective, convenient, and will also act as a decorative element in your place.

Features to consider while buying a guitar stand

There are various guitar stands out in the market with different designs and the purpose of each one of them is the protection of your guitar. But you just can’t but any of them you like. You will have to keep in mind the following points so that you can buy the perfect one instead of getting a stand that will be of no use for you.

Stability

While purchasing any kind of stand, whether it is a tripod base, A-frame or a wall mount, you need to make sure that it will provide maximum stability to your instrument, so that you can also use them in toing and froing performances.

Durability

If you want to make a one-time investment, check for the most durable one as many stands out there are for short term use.

Adjustability

Every guitar is different. The acoustic needs a wider length and the electric guitar or electric bass needs a smaller area. Pick the one stand that is for universal use otherwise you will end up having space or stability issues with the stand.

Portability

Getting portable equipment is always a major concern for many musicians. If you are also one of them then you might need to look deep over that option. Choose a compact and portable design that you can just fold and travel efficiently with.

Conclusion

That was it! These were the best guitar stands that I first, personally used, and gave my honest review on each. The only thing you have to keep in mind while buying one is the size. Buy according to the size of your guitar and last but not the least, don’t forget to latch your guitar or else you’ll end up damaging your instrument.
